Playful practice, balance and simplicity guide Jochen's teaching. Health and healing are part of every practice, and he hopes to bring joy and satisfaction to his students. He often works with athletes developing the traditional yoga practice for injury recovery and prevention. His practice combines dance, tai chi and yoga to achieve openness and balance through physical practice.
Jochen teaches primarily in the Bay Area and is certified in Power Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Yoga TuneUp. He is a 500hr RYT. He finds wisdom (and humor) in the writings of Paramahansa Yogananda. Jochen has been a gymnast, a swimmer, a martial artist, a dancer, a rower and a diver. He has taught in the US, Canada, Mexico, Indonesia, Europe and Australia.
Jochen’s other lives involve innovation in biotechnology and health. Trained at Harvard and Stanford, he is now a consultant in the BigData and Biotech world.
